I Love to Blog!

I have to take a minute to say that I love to blog. I have been going back and reading our blog and it is really fun. It is neat to go back and see what has been going on in our life. I use to be really good at keeping a journal in high school. However I have not made the time for it in my adult life. To me this has been a great journal. I am really happy that I decided to keep a blog for our family.

I have found that I also love to read other families blogs. What a great way to see how normal my life is. I love to see the pictures and read the stories. It is the simple things in life to find pleasure in. I guess you can say blogging is my guilty pleasure. Now I ask to all my favorite blog authors, please keep blogging.

Pulling Little Man's tooth

We decided to get a little creative when Little Man's tooth was ready to come out this week. This is what we came up with. This was actually the third attempt. He didn't cry at all the first two times. We thought it was pretty funny. We have submitted it to America's Funniest Home Videos at Little Man's request. Enjoy!

Bad Hair Day

I guess there is something in the air about little girls cutting their own hair. I read a post on our friends blog last week about her little girl cutting her hair. I thought I have been lucky so far we have not had that happen to us. Well I guess I forgot to knock on wood.

I was giving Alan and Little Man hair cuts last Saturday and when I was done Sunshine asked if I would cut her hair. I decided she could use a trim, so I agreed. After I was finished I had to hurry to try to get Princess G's hair done because she was going swimming, and I always pull it back for swimming. Well as I was doing Princess G's hair, Sunshine came in and I looked at her and something seemed different. I took a better look and noticed long strands of hair all over her. I jumped up to get a closer look and saw what she had done. Yes she cut her hair. However not just a little bit. She cut her hair at the crown of her head down to her scalp. I could not believe what I saw. There was no fixing this. Now my beautiful little 3 year old girl has a very short hair cut. I cried I was so upset over it. She then got very upset. Lets just say I don't think she will ever cut her hair again. Now we have spent the last three days convincing her that she is not a boy. Alan tells her she is his beautiful little girl with very short hair. I still look at her and get very sad.

Kindergarten Graduation

Last night was Princess G's Kindergarten Graduation. I have to say it was the most impressive Kindergarten Graduation I have ever been to. The class put on a full program. It was wonderful. I was a little sad that Princess G was not in the program. Due to her health problems and having to be out of school for the last month, she was unable to be in the program. She really enjoyed watching the program though. She did get to put on her little cap and gown though and walk out with her class. While each child came out on stage her Teacher read what other kids in her class said about them. It was fun to hear what the kids thought of Princess G. They said "she is pretty", "she is my best friend", "I Love her", and "I miss her". It was very nice to see her back with her class for the last time. I think the pictures are so cute. We missed having Alan and Little Man with us. However it was important for them to have their time together.

This week's Little Man update...

This week went by very fast. I will share just a few of the highs and lows. They will explain the pictures.

Little Man had his first bike accident. He was not very happy. He lost control of his bike and fell. His lip and his handel bars came together. The results where not pretty. Little Man had a nice fat lip for a good part of the week.

Little Man is very excited because at school this week he was give a copy of the first Harry Potter book. We already had them at home, however had not even thought to let Little Man read them. Well now he has his own and so we will see how he likes them.

This week at school was spirit week. The kids got to dress up everyday this week. We missed Monday, it was Hawaii day, Tuesday was nerd day, Wednesday PJ day, Thursday crazy hair day, Friday twin day. Well enjoy the picture of Crazy hair day for Little Man.

And last but not least Friday night was the Father's and Son's camp out. Little Man was very excited to be able to go camping with his Dad. NO GIRL'S ALLOWED. It is always a fun weekend for the boys. I can't wait to hear how in went.

So that was Little Man's fun week. Enjoys the photos.

Careful with the freezer

We have such luck when it comes to crazy things happening to us. This one is the icing on the cake. Last Thursday I found a chest freezer listed on craigslist for a great price. I called on it, and I was able to get it. I was so happy. I called Alan and had him go pay for it and show the guy how to get to our house to deliver it. Later that night Alan and I were moving the freezer into place with the help of a piano dolly. When we had it into the place we wanted it Alan lifted one side so the other side was resting on the floor, and I removed the dolly. Alan started to put it down slowly. Well he got wedged into a bad place so he just let go. It came down right onto my right foot. The good news is that my foot is not broken. Just very badly injured. I am unable to walk on it and I have crutches. The doctor put my foot in a boot, from my foot up to my knee. Poor Alan, he feels so bad. I will heal though and we can all laugh about it. So our advice would be, Careful with the freezer.

Little Man's early morning walk...

We had a interesting visit on Saturday morning. It was just before seven am and Alan and I had just woke up and where enjoying being lazy and the house was so quite. At about 6:58 am our doorbell rang. We throw on our bath robes and go down stairs to answer the door. Much to our surprise standing there was our friend Sargent Solice. He says to us, I have something that belongs to you. Then Little Man came around the corner. We could not believe it. We didn't even know he was gone. Sgt. Solice found Little Man out on the major road near our house. He decided that he was running away. He had with him his sisters rolling pink suitcase, packed with clothes and $2.00, and his backpack filled with books and a few toys. We could not believe it. We thanked Sgt. Solice and took Little Man in for a very long talk. I am happy to say that we where able to get to the bottom of the problem and are working with him. I am very thankful that it was our friend who found him. We would of had much bigger problem if anyone else had found him. We talk to Sgt. Solice later that day and he said that he was just getting off shift when he saw this little boy walking all by him self down the street. He said his first thought was on no, this is going to take awhile. Then as he got closer he realized it was Little Man. He said his next thought was oh, how adorable. He stopped and asked Little Man where he was going, he said Wal-Mart. Sgt. Solice asked Little Man to get into the car with him so they could talk. Little Man told him he was having a bad day and was not happy that he only had 2 sisters. He doesn't like that they play together and leave him out. The worst thing is that we didn't even know that Little Man was gone. He left long before we woke up. We are now looking into a system that will beep whenever a door or window is opened. We know that this is a very serious problem, however now that it is over we are laughing at the humor in the situation. It was cute. We asked why he was going to Wal-Mart? He said to buy something and to try to find a brother to bring home. Oh what to do? Hopefully our talk with him will get through to him. We will see.
